When you enter Delos from the harbor, this is what you see: a kind of open market area.



According to mythology, this is the palm tree to which Leto clung when she was giving birth to Apollo and Artemis.



Some ruins.



Because Delos is uninhabited, the ruins have been amazingly well preserved, giving us a strong sense of what living there must have felt like; this is a room with a threshold and floor mosaic preserved and relatively high walls.
