A wand of control wanter gives the wielder access to the spell control water. Sarcem took Cauldron city money to Sasserine to purchase eight wands of control water. The wand were to be used in the Lowering of the Waters. Sarcem was ambushed and slain by Triel Elderast and her minions. Triel stole the wands and retreated to her lair below Cauldron. Without the wands the lower portions of Cauldron would flood during the seasonal rainstorms. Tarik's Company tracked down Triel, slew her and her guards, and retrieved the wands for the city.
