1.) Please name a member of your character's family, extended family, or a family friend that they looked up to growing up. Give us one paragraph on who they were and why the character admired them.
Kyrin looks up to his mother. He feels very similar to her and admires her fortitude and resiliance living in a strange land so far away from her homeland. She never gave in to pressure outside the family to try to assimilate to Keoland society. In fact, from what Kyrin can tell, his mother tries to subtly (and at times not so subtly) fly in the face of the traditional Suel and Oeridian customs when she decides it conflicts with her own. Overt attempts by the social elite to chastize her have always failed. Whenever they try, they invarabilly leave the loser.
2.) What is your character like when drunk? Kyrin has had plenty of times to drink while studying in Sasserine. While it takes him more then most (a fact he was always proud of), eventually he becomes even more self confident then usual and can be quite the risk taker. He also becomes quite philosophical and anaylitical of whatever the topic at hand is. More then once, the combination of these two have lead down the path of wacky adventure in the allyways of Sasserine that the next morning no one shall ever speak of again.
3.) Is there an object, weapon, momento, etc, that your character feels somewhat possesive of? Where did it come from, and why do they feel strongly about it? Since Kyrin has lived for so long at the Academy he had to keep his possessions to a minimum. Momentos take up more space and can be a sign of weakness, something the instructors take great care to indroctinate out of any student very quickly. Of course, they replace this with love of the Academy, and of each corps platoon (the students of the same age). A symbol of the Academy is a plain black rod, a weapon and also a sign of rank. The rod is around 2½ feet long and 1¼ or ½ inch in diamater.
