1.) Please name a member of your character's family, extended family, or a family friend that they looked up to growing up. Give us one paragraph on who they were and why the character admired them.
One of Maeglin's neighbors growing up was an elderly man who used to be a scribe. He served as one of the occasional "teachers" for Darvin's Cove for the early teen years. Maeglin grew to know him as more when his dad sent him over to his house to repair his roof. The roof repair was not difficult, but it was time consuming. While doing the work, he learned that this scribe knew a great deal of the world. Over the next several months Maeglin began to help the old man with more and more tasks around the house, hearing the man talk about his life. Coming back from a week long trip with his Dad to collect spell components, he learned of the man's death. He also learned that the man left him everything, which was admittedly not much. In his possessions he did have a special quill and signet ring.
NOTE TO GM: I just retcon'd the purchase of a scroll case, quill, and signet ring. Cool?
2.) What is your character like when drunk?
He drinks primarily for thirst so other than one incident when he was "young" he does not get drunk. He does understand the need to drink for camaraderie, and will do that, but drinks very slowly when he does.
3.) Is there an object, weapon, momento, etc, that your character feels somewhat possesive of? Where did it come from, and why do they feel strongly about it?
His leather cloak was given to him by his parents when he became an adult in the same ceremony that he and Verana took their new names. One of the interesting things about the piece is that it was crafted entirely by his parents, who didn't normally make finished fine products. The traveling cloak is charcoal gray/green with black lining. The collar has amazing embroidery with traditional eleven symbols on it.
