Tarik was a peasant's son, then apprentice to a hedge mage, so he's not used to terribly complex food. He generally seeks out simple peasant dishes, meat and, veggies, and fruit. So Tarik has a fondness for various stew type dishes. That said, as Suel descendents his parents would occasionally save up for something traditionally Suel. So he's familiar with and considers "special" more traditional Suel dishes, in particular things with yogurt sauces.
All that said, jungles and volcanic slopes are pretty fertile; I imagine that even the peasants tend to eat well and a reasonably balanced diet.

Tarik wears a loose, slightly flowing set of pants and shirt. Again, it's a traditional Suel design and well suited for the warm clime. He has several outfits, they are all a single bright color. He usually wears an orange outfit.

Tarik finds local history particularly interesting, especially stories of Spellmason. As he's gained increasing freedom over the last year, he has spent a fair amount of time speaking with local historians and borrowing whatever books he can on the area.
