2005-09-03 Homework for VivianObarski
Blast. You had to make homework complicated. Thankfully, you gave me an editing questions.
6. Your development team has decided that this rule is mechanically balanced, but the team lead tells you that it needs to be rewritten for clarity. How might you rewrite this rule and why?
While this effect affects you, your Reflexive saves are improved by +2 if you're a rogue or other kind of character with evasion, except when she's flat-footed or loses her AC Dex bonus, in which case she doesn't get any bonus, but if she has improved evasion improves you to +4.
While this effect is activated, rogues or other characters with the evasion feat will have a +2 to their reflexive saves, except when they are flat-footed or in situations where the AC Dex bonus doesn't apply. In those cases, there is no +2 reflexive save, but if the character has improved evasion, the bonus is +4.
Gah. That was sheer ugliness to read and edit.
7. Describe a game mechanic (from a game other than a roleplaying game) that you think is good, and explain why you think it's good.
Tough one because I don't really play that many other games outside of roleplaying (except for a shitload of videogames). I have to say that I do like CoH's debt system. It's like you're working for something, but you can't drop a level if you lose XP. I also like how there's a certain maximum for the debt, so it's not like you're in debt all the time.
