The session begins in the market place of Redgorge on the 15th of Ready'reat
I hear a person calling to the crowd in the market place. "People of Redgorge. Hear me. The city of Cauldron needs you. Who among you are strong enough, brave enough, swarmy enough." Moving toward the person calling for assistance, I see a large elaborate fountain. There is a guy with a long white beard in clerical vestments (a symbol of Cuthbert is on his robes). He is attempting to round up a group of people to investigate the disappearance of people from Cauldron (37 people in the last year).
A short energetic gnome named Rassi steps forward and joins the speaker on the fountain. I step forward to join him. A plain looking human named Tarik joins the man on the fountain. A dwarf demands the man's attention. Aidan, the dwarf, demands to participate in this effort. The man attempts to intice Verana to join us. With a little encouragement from me, she agrees to join us. Tarik's inquires discover that the man is named Adrian Prodding from Aidan gets a human fighter type named Kyrin to join us. We agree. Much to Verana's annoyance, we won't learn what exactly we will be doing until we get in Cauldron. He offers us 25gp to join him on a trip to Cauldron. We also learn that this guy's name is Adrian
Verana inquires as to whether or not this is a good idea. I point out that I know a decent amount about Cauldron and that while I don't know if it is a good idea, I do know it isn't a bad idea. After purchasing some fruit, we set out toward Cauldron. We hope to arrive before night. During a break mid-day we hear animals fighting. Turning around we see two angry injured baboons, they appear to have been in a fight and charge us when they see us. I make the first hit, Verana takes down the first baboon. Tarik takes down the second baboon with a bolt. I see off in the distance an impressive jaguar leap from a tree and head off in the distance. 900xp is awarded to the party (150 per player).
The rest of the trip passes uneventfully and arrive in Cauldron late in the evening.
